An Independent Medical Examination (IME) is an objective medical evaluation performed for legal or insurance purposes. Dr. Jaffe reviews medical records, imaging, medical history, and conducts a physical examination to provide an unbiased opinion on diagnosis, causation, treatment, future medical needs, and functional limitations. Please note that Dr. Jaffe does not perform workers’ compensation (industrial) IMEs.
A physiatrist is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Dr. Jaffe diagnoses and treats pain, injuries, and conditions affecting the muscles, joints, spine, nerves, and bones with a focus on restoring function, reducing pain, and improving quality of life.
